Nagambie - Oct 26-28th 2012
We arrived at Nagambie to be greeted with the most amazing views. Couldn't believe how lovely it was to just relax on the balcony and watch the sun go down. We had a more relaxed itinerary, bringing out crafts and games during the Carers Victoria session. This was on "Caring for Yourself" and the participants involved enjoyed this very much plus were spoiled with goody bags to bring home. We followed the sessions with a lunchtime BBQ. Many thanks to Sharon, Lawrence and Dave E. and Dave W. who helped cook lunch for everyone. Jane brought her slinky and Dave E. kindly had a huge box of apples donated. Nadine also brought a big tub of goodies to share around too from Foodbank, our very big thanks to her as well. Many people donated items for our raffle which we ran in the evening off our balcony as the sun went down - THANKS to Rachael Franks and her parents, Eron Layfield, Tracy Harris and Melody Lind for their wonderful donations along with many other groups such as Wyncity Bowl & Entertainment, Let There B Cake, Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre who all gave us items to raffle too. The wonderful people at Jamaica Blue also donated coffee vouchers for all our parents. Thanks to all the families who attended, you made it a fantastic weekend and we think the best one ever!
Quotes from the weekend:
Great park staff were great, loved every thing being new, beautiful views just wish I had a boat.....the only thing missing was the Emylou cruising up and down the river..... was just so pretty.
